Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb will participate in the Nordic Foreign Ministers’ Meeting to be held in Copenhagen on Thursday, 11 March. In accordance with the rotation of the Nordic chairmanship, this meeting will be chaired by Lene Espersen, the new Foreign Minister of Denmark.
The agenda of the meeting includes deepening of Nordic foreign and security policy cooperation, among others, in crisis management, development of cooperation among diplomatic missions, strengthening of the Nordic neighbouring area cooperation, e.g. with Belarus and the expansion of cooperation with the Baltic states. In addition, the foreign ministers will discuss topical international issues such as Afghanistan, Iran, Ukraine and Myanmar.
